About Jennifer L Griffith

J skiIn 2000, God yanked up the deep Louisiana roots of Jennifer L Griffith through a traumatic snowmobile accident in Idaho. This event changed the course of her life. She let go of all she worked for, including a career, college degrees in Biology and Chemistry, and a Masters in Sports Medicine, to be open for God’s move in her life. She went from Chemistry teacher, athletic trainer and entrepreneur in Louisiana, to novelist, drummer, skier and over-all adventurous in Teton Valley, Idaho. Since that step of faith and obedience,  God blessed her with the ACFW Genesis Award in 2007 for her novel-in-progress, Gumbo Ya-Ya and in 2009 for Magpies in Trees. In 2012, God directed Jennifer back south where she serves as the drummer for VISION ministry with Couples Care Center  and works as a FitCoach for Koko FitClub. She has recently launched GeauxOrganic.com where she shares how she is thriving in spite of often debilitating, Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS). In her spare time, she is found hanging out with her “little best friend,” Harmony, usually on the lakefront. Jennifer lives to GO wherever God calls her. She returned from three months of over-seas mission work in southern Africa in 2013, and waits on the next whim of God to move her for His glory. Jennifer is available for speaking engagements where she shares God’s work in her life with various audiences. She has a few writing projects in the works, and you can also find her writings on Inspire a Fire.

  1. Jennifer, you and I met when we sat at the same table at Dan Schreiber’s wedding. You have had/are having a very interesting journey. {MY CAPS LOCK BUTTON IS STUCK IN HIGH GEAR]. [Whew]. Girl, we are on the same journey. Thankfully, The Big Kahuna doesn’t let us stay ‘comfy’ — we just GOTTA GROW TOWARDS THE LIGHT!
    Love to you from Lynn
